My children have blossomed like flowers under your care and guidance. You have not only kept them safe and secure, you have nurtured them with planting the seeds of the love of learning and exploring. You have made all of us feel like family. Words cannot express my gratitude. With each of my children you have gone way beyond the call of duty. You each hold a place in our hearts that no one else can fill.
Bill and I feel so fortunate that we found MMS and have become so much a part of the school. You have played such an important role in not only our son's lives, but also my own. I can't express how much all of you mean to me. Your school made my move here so easy. I have come to learn the different roles each of you play in making MMS such a wonderful place. I couldn't ask for a better place for my children to have spent the last 4 years.
You have assembled an impressive group of teachers and staff at MMS who are caring, kind and skilled. Consistently, day in and day out we have been greeted with smiles, kind words and meaningful feedback. As parents we take great comfort in sending our children to MMS. We take comfort in knowing you have prepared our son for the first grade and for his life ahead.
It is with mixed emotions that we approach our sixth and final Holiday Show at MMS. Since 2008, we have been watching our children thrive, grow and learn under your guidance and with the help of your patience and love. We credit you for a lot of what has made them the smart, inquisitive and respectful children that they are today. We wanted to recognize each of you for everything that you have contributed to making the past six years such a pleasure for us, whether you have been their teacher or not. It’s nice to be able to drop your kids off and know without worry they will be well cared for by the wonderful staff at MMS. Thank you for everything that you have done for us – we truly could not imagine entrusting our children in their most formative years to a better group of women.
I wanted to thank Karen and Phyllis for making our daughter's transition into first grade so smooth and, basically, non-existant. Since the begining of first grade, she has shown nothing but superior performance, academically and socially. On her first spelling test, she got 101%?! I asked her how that's possible and she said that her teacher told her that she not only got all the words correct but her work is also very neat. She continues to get 101%. When the school tested her reading skills at the begining of school year, she tested at level "J", which is, we were told, where the students are supposed to be at the end of school year. Needless to say, we are very proud. She is also taking a full advantage of her academic performance and was assigned to help students who have trouble reading.
Barbara and Sharon - I thank you immensly for making our son who he is today. Remember his humor? He still got it, just got much more sophisticated. Remember his math skills? He is performing two grades ahead. He can read words that I cannot and remember things that I don't recall ever occuring. He is one of the four third-graders who participate in the Academically Gifted Program at his elementary school. He has an honor and benefit of working with a teacher, who, I am sure you heard, reaceived PA's 2014 teacher of the year award. He loves working with him. When I hear our son talk I often think to myself "this is Mrs. Barbara. She always encouraged questions and curiosity". He continues to ask questions relentlessy and often sends me to the Internet to search for answers. Experience that our children had at Montessori has proven invaluable to my family. I am forever thankful to all of you for what you instilled in my children. I hope they will carry it with them for many years to come.
